New Build Design in Cartland

Our clients purchased a serviced plot, to accommodate a story and a half, detached dwelling house with integrated garage and off-street parking, to the same street as that they currently resided.

We research the varying styles of properties to the small village of Cartland, situated within an area predominantly of farmland and agriculture.

The style and materials of the neighboring farmhouses and buildings assisted with undertaking our sketch designs; natural stone, horizontal blackened timber boarding, slate roof finish and timber stained window, with window and door apertures relating to the large opening to that of the agricultural outbuildings. The large glazed sliding feature doors also maximised the undisturbed views across the neighboring fields and maximised the natural daylight.

We thoroughly enjoyed the design process evolving with our clients, from initial sketch designs and liaising with the Local Authority Planning Department to ensure we would fully achieve our client’s expectations.
