Window replacement to an area of conservation
Our clients period property was built in the mining town of Bo'ness in approximately 1890, with traditional Victorian architectural features being retained throughout the dwelling house, both internally and externally.
Copies of the original architectural drawings were obtained from the historical archives, located within Callendar House, Falkirk, illustrating the original window style and fenestrations to the elevations.
Following formal Planning Approval, a local skilled craftsmen was appointed to manufacture the new treated timber, sash and case lead weighted units, to match that of the original design, scale and proportions.
A little bit of history put back, as was originally beautifully designed.
