Elwinside Cottage, Linlithgow

We are particularly proud of this little project, our client requested an additional bedroom and washroom with direct access to her beautiful cottage garden. The existing coal house, to the rear of the two storey cottage still retained the original sash and case window and doors, which we thought should not be demolished to form a new structure, but retained, and linked to the existing house with a sympathetic partial glazed building.

The existing period brick boundary wall was removed with care, all bricks dressed and reused within the new structure.

The design choice of the change of use of the outbuilding assisted with a reduced build programme for completion and budget costs.
